The project “SEND ME LETTERS” speaks of loneliness and unity. It speaks of the past and the future. Of the lives that unfold behind the front doors and the only entrance open to the world: the mailbox. It is a photographic record preserving the beauty of each house door where small metal doors are discovered with the inscription “LETTERS”: six letters that are much more than an instruction for those who distribute words throughout the cities, towns, and places of Portugal. // “SEND ME LETTERS” is a photographic record of the beauty found on the doors of houses still displaying letterboxes embossed with the word “LETTERS,” awakening in us reminiscences of a time gone by – when feelings were conveyed on paper. Of a time when each word had its own particular meaning and written letters were valuable simply by existing.
